With overwhelming participation and support on our initial survey exploring the feasibility of public transportation, we are now moving forward with consultation on a proposed pilot program for public transit here in Amherstburg.

The proposal received from Transit Windsor includes 12 stops in the Town of Amherstburg. The proposed route will then continue into the City of Windsor with a stop at the new transit terminal developed at the Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH) site located at 1453 Prince Road. This site is strategic and will serve as a hub and a transfer location that will give riders from Amherstburg the ability to connect with transit services throughout the Transit Windsor service area. A connection could also be explored with the Town of LaSalle’s transit route with a transfer point along Front Road giving a more direct access to St. Clair College.

With so many options and opportunities available, please take a moment to participate in the Phase 2 survey below and let us know how you visualize Amherstburg’s transit system.
