The Amherstburg Accessibility Advisory Committee and the Town of Amherstburg seek input on its Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.

The Town’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan outlines the outcomes and initiatives that reaffirm the Town’s commitment to an accessible community and to building an equitable and inclusive society that values the contributions of people with disabilities.

This engagement process is designed to seek feedback on how successfully the municipality addresses the accessibility needs of those the municipality serves and to garner comments on the draft plan.

As one piece of the Town’s overall Accessibility strategy, this process will be the first in a series of annual engagements designed to increasingly narrow the focus on the opportunities for enhancements in the provision of the Town of Amherstburg’s goods and services in an accessible manner.

The Year 2 Multi-Year Accessibility Survey is now available from Friday, December 8 - Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

    Year 1 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan Survey

    The Town of Amherstburg needs your feedback to assist with the Year One Public Consultation on the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. This year’s focus will be on five key areas:

    1. Public Transit;
    2. Taxi Services;
    3. Parkland/Trails/Naturalized Areas;
    4. Municipal Facilities & Infrastructure; and,
    5. Information & Communication Standards.

    Please complete the survey in its entirety. If you complete a hard copy of the survey, please ensure every question is completed as specified. Incomplete, hard copy surveys cannot be included in the final tally. You can find hard copies of this survey in the vestibules at Town Hall and the Libro Centre.

    Completed hard copies of the survey can be brought to:

    • Town Hall, 271 Sandwich Street South or 
    • The Libro Centre, 3295 Meloche Road or
    • Mailed: Town Hall, 271 Sandwich Street, Amherstburg, ON, N9V 2A5. 

    All surveys must be received by Thursday, August 18, 2022.
