Amherstburg has recently been awarded provincial grant funding for sewer upgrades along Richmond Street, from Dalhousie Street to Seymour Street.
Many details remain to be determined, including timelines, construction phasing, access impacts, and what this may look like for businesses and the community during the project.
Planning is in the very early stages, and construction is not anticipated to begin until early 2027.
At this time, the engineer is evaluating the project to outline the scope of work to be completed. Their report will assist administration in creating a request for tender for the project.
When a construction date is determined, we will engage those businesses directly impacted to outline timelines and share anticipated disruptions.
