Due to high water levels and weather forecasts including wind direction, we have put into place measures to assist residents who may be affected to protect citizens and property.

Residents wanting to volunteer filling bags of sand during a large scale flood are asked to preregister at www.amherstburgfire.com/flood. The list will be maintain throughout the season to be utilized for a large scale flooding event.

Utilizing our mass notification system, using the contact information provided, you will be contacted if needed to fill bags. At that time you will have the opportunity to notify us if you are available or not. Please do not proceed to the sites without being contacted first.
